If you want to work in the world of children, there are many options available to you. From childcare, education and Early learning centres, there are a number of different qualifications you can pursue to help you get started in your chosen career path. However, before you make the leap, it’s important to consider the qualifications that are the most suitable for you and how they can help you in your new role.
For those who want to become qualified as an early years educator, this NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification is ideal. This course provides the skills and knowledge you need to work in a children’s home or day care setting and will equip you with the knowledge to provide the best possible start to a child’s life.
This NCFE qualification can be completed in around a year and will provide you with all the necessary knowledge to begin your journey into the world of early learning centres. It also has the potential to lead on to further study at university level.
The qualification will be completed through college based teaching and assessed work based practice. Learners will be in college for approximately 3 days per week and work in their placements 2 days per week. This will be completed under the guidance of a qualified centre tutor and will include an Effective Practice Study Task that is externally set and marked.
In order to be eligible for this NCFE CACHE course you will need to have GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent. You will also need to find a placement in an early years setting on the mainland of England and be supported by a workplace mentor.
