Abrasive Wheels Training is an online course which teaches learners the main types of abrasive wheels and how to handle them safely. It is suitable for anyone who uses abrasive wheels in their workplace including angle grinders and petrol cut off saws (Stihl, Makita, etc).
The course explores the anatomy of an abrasive wheel as well as the dangers associated with using one. It also covers the safe storage and handling of abrasive wheels along with how to mount, dress and use them.
There is a quiz at the end of each module that needs to be answered correctly in order to pass and receive your certificate. This course is CPD certified and IIRSM approved – a valuable asset for your CV. It is also a requirement under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) that everyone who uses an abrasive wheel needs to be trained in how to use their equipment safely.
Successful completion of the course will help reduce accidents involving abrasive wheels, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, protect employees from damage to their equipment, improve productivity and contribute to a safer working environment overall. This course is also suitable as a refresher for those who have already completed an initial abrasive wheel training course in the past. Abrasive Wheels Training
